We are delighted to design and produce the trophies for Film My Design Co-Lab program at 3rd edition! 🎬🏆. These awards embody individuality, diversity, and curiosity. By utilizing rammed earth, we not only enhance the trophy's value with innovation and sustainability but also engage the winners, inviting them to explore and interact with these natural materials and forms.

This trophy is more than just an accolade; It represents the natural materials that construct our homes. Each award reflects the philosophy of Atoms Studio’s sustainable lifestyle.

Meet the Team ...
Deena El-Mahdy is an Associate Professor in the Architectural Engineering Department at the British University in Egypt. She is a co-founder of Cairo Heritage School. She holds BSc, MSc, and PhD degrees from Cairo University, in addition to a postgraduate degree from the Institute for Advanced Architecture of Catalonia (IAAC) related to 3D printing with Earth in 2021/2022. Her research interests are digital fabrication processes, 3D printing, robotics, parametric design, computational design, and additive manufacturing techniques in both education and construction. Deena was awarded the (YIRG) as a principal investigator (PI) in 2021. She was awarded many grants as a principal investigator of “Young Investigator Research Grant” and lately was awarded several awards as; the BIM Africa award under the category of "Best Woman in African Construction" in 2023, and shortlisted in the Tamayouz award in the category of "rising star, women in Architecture and Construction" in 2018 and 2019 .

We’re excited to be a part of Dubai Design Week, bringing together designers to exchange ideas and present the possibilities of what can be achieved through design.

This year looks at how design, science and technology can converge to reclaim materials of our past, as well as reimagine new forms that foster sustainable practices.
