Dubai prepares 40 air-conditioned rest areas for delivery riders this summer 🛵❄️🇦🇪
Dubai has confirmed the readiness of 40 air-conditioned rest areas dedicated to delivery riders ahead of the peak summer season.
The facilities are designed to provide shaded and cooled spaces where riders can take breaks and recover from extreme outdoor temperatures while carrying out delivery operations across the city.
Officials said the initiative forms part of broader efforts to strengthen occupational health and safety standards, helping reduce the risks of heat stress and heat-related illnesses during the summer months.
The rest areas support essential workers who continue operating in challenging weather conditions and reflect Dubai’s commitment to worker welfare and public safety.
Authorities have also encouraged delivery companies to ensure riders make full use of the facilities and follow established heat-safety guidelines throughout the summer period.

Dubai Police warn against buying gas cylinders from unlicensed sellers 🚔🔥🇦🇪
Dubai Police has urged residents to avoid purchasing gas cylinders from unlicensed sellers after authorities seized 300 unsafe cylinders so far this year.
Officials warned that illegal refilling and distribution practices can pose serious risks to lives and property, including leaks, fires, and explosions caused by improperly handled or uncertified cylinders.
Residents are advised to purchase gas cylinders only from authorized suppliers and licensed distributors to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.
Authorities also encouraged the public to report suspected violations through the Dubai Police app or by calling 901, helping enhance community safety and prevent dangerous practices.
The warning forms part of ongoing efforts to protect residents and raise awareness about the importance of using approved and properly maintained gas equipment.
