This KTM 700 twin two stroke was made by Jerry van der Heiden for Dutch sidecar cross ace Ton van Heugten. The twin consisted of two KTM 350 cross engines grafted together. Just one gearbox and final drive are used. The engine sits normally in the frame and the second cylinder is pointing directly forward. It's mounted to the front half of a KTM 350 lower end that is attached to the right side of the complete 350 engine.

Michael Jackson owned an RG500!
Gary Taylor took a Suzuki RG500 via air to Italy in 1988,where Michael did some concerts.They heard that he was a motorcycle fan so the RG500 was a present. Taylor said Michael needed the most exiting bike ever made!
In between the races Kevin Schwantz and Rob McElnea visited his opening concert in Rome.

He increased the compression ratio. Norbert ditched the original RD350 six-speed transmissions, favoring a single five-speed gearbox from a vintage Yamaha R5.
