We’ve been having some really interesting conversations recently around suspension intolerance (suspension trauma) in rope access.

It’s clear there are still quite a few differing views out there.

So we wanted to open it up for people to think about -

Scenario:
A technician is found unconscious, suspended on rope following a fall. No immediate access from below. Standard rope access rescue kit available. Trained team on site.

👉 How are you approaching this?
• What are your immediate priorities once you reach the casualty?
• Are you prioritising rapid descent, airway positioning, or something else first?
• How are you managing positioning during and after rescue?
• Has your approach changed in light of more recent guidance?

Although it's unlikely, it’s interesting to understand how people are interpreting current guidance and applying it in real-world scenarios for if it was to happen.

Travel plans adjusted - our commitment unchanged.

We were scheduled to return to Dubai this week, however recent regional disruptions meant flights were postponed. Luckily our team in the UAE are holding the fort, completing in person meetings and site visits.
